KENDRICK LAMAR | THE BIG STEPPERS TOUR: LIVE FROM PARIS The Big Steppers Tour: Live from Paris was an exercise in restraint, precision and storytelling. Months of preparation went into a single night, with every camera meticulously placed and every decision built around intention rather than simply coverage. Working closely with Kendrick Lamar, Dave Free and Mike Carson was an extraordinary creative experience. The show unfolded in chapters, filled with scale and energy but also incredible nuance and detail. Our job was often to resist the instinct to do more, allowing moments to breathe, evolve and reveal themselves without the filmmaking calling attention to itself. The result became one of the defining live films of Kendrick’s Big Steppers era, streaming globally on Prime Video and ultimately earning a Grammy nomination. More than anything, it was a reminder that sometimes the most powerful directing choice is knowing exactly when to get out of the way and let the story speak for itself.
